Recommendation Letters

Letter from Director

Dear Hiring Manager,

Coco joined LCA in early 2016, working as our in-house designer. Initially, her work focused on the GUI of our supply chain software.

However, as our business focus evolved, she has, in phases, taken on a broader workload, becoming responsible for our corporate image, mainly involving:

  1. Continual upgrading of our documentation, being our logo and associated materials, business proposals and consulting reports

  2. Two versions of website revamping, managing the outsourced development of the first one and then taking complete responsibility together with a teammate for the in-house development and maintenance of the latest version

Evolving out of the graphics work she did for our consulting reports, Coco also took on a draftsman’s role, training herself on SketchUp, an architect design tool, to develop and demonstrate the floor plans of our warehouse layout design projects.

Coco has been a great asset to LCA over the past 6 years. She has a great eye for what works and what doesn’t. She is consistently friendly and professional in her dealings with the rest of our team. She works well under time pressure, is able to prioritize tasks and is not afraid to question where she is not being provided with enough clarity.

Working closely with her over 6 years on both business documents and warehouse layouts, I have been impressed by how quickly she picks up new ideas and how she establishes working methods and standards that reduce the risk of misunderstanding – and thus wasted effort.

Through Coco’s efforts, our corporate image has consistently improved. Her ability to incorporate our style with that of our new parent company has been particularly impressive. I have received a huge amount of positive feedback on the new website that she has just delivered – which is a testimonial to her design skills and hard work.

Coco has become a popular and valued member of our team. Although we understand her motivation, everyone was disappointed when she announced that she wanted to return to the design industry. I should also point out that a great deal of the ‘heavy lifting’ on our new website was undertaken after Coco announced her resignation. We are very appreciative of the massive effort she has put in during her final months with the company.

Should you require any more information, I will be very happy to provide it.

Yours truly,

Dear Hiring Manager,

Coco is a talented web designer and great to work with. Not only is she an amazing designer, but she has ingenious web skills. Coco is very innovative and always looking for new solutions and fresh ideas that can advance her knowledge to exceed her client’s expectations and goals. Besides that, she is always helpful and insightful. She is a passionate designer and always seems to have great awareness of new creative visuals and technology, which makes her a great asset to any company.

In addition, Coco is extremely reliable and she has a knack for taking limited information from clients and creating several options to meet their needs. I’d highly recommend Coco for any type of digital design work.

Coco is a great asset to any team. She brings many things to the table. Her design skills, communication and openness to solving problems are all valuable traits. I would recommend Coco for her Illustrations, design or development skills. While working with her I witnessed her growth as a co-worker and friend. When I needed help she was more then able and eager to assist me.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to recommend Coco for her job interview.

We have been working closely for a system development whereby she helms the Design and System Flow. The system is aimed at a large group of users spanning from the younger users all the way up to the senior citizens, therefore it is crucial that the Designer has to know what is required without sacrificing too much functions for usability.

During our tenure of working together, she has portrayed excellent planning and coordination skills when it comes to the project execution. Adding on, she is no pushover when it comes to her web-development skills, particularly design and website scripting – her skills are highly valuable for any team.

Adept in the real world customer design requirements, she will have no issues presenting a full-blown blueprint and would definitely deliver an amazing product. She would be an outstanding addition to your team. Feel free to contact me if you require further clarification.

Yours truly,

Justin Lim
